EtherCAT Master Bridge

The IO Builder EtherCAT Bridge is a data routing tool designed to resolve the communication problem in EtherCAT's master-slave topology, which doesn't allow direct connection between two EtherCAT masters. This device functions as an intermediate gateway, utilizing two EtherCAT slave controllers to enable data flow between the IO Builder Server and an additional EtherCAT master. It effectively acts as a bridge, channeling information from one master to the other.

By appearing as a slave to each EtherCAT master, the bridge ensures seamless communication, effectively routing data from one master to the other. The device is configured with a primary and a secondary side to facilitate connections. You simply need to connect your IO Builder Server to the primary side and the other EtherCAT master to the secondary side. With the IO Builder EtherCAT Gateway Bridge, managing the flow of data between two EtherCAT masters becomes a straightforward process, offering increased efficiency in your EtherCAT network operations.

Users are unable to configure the process data image. A unique firmware and slave EEPROM image must be utilized for every distinct use case. Contact us for more information.
